Notes: One of the more desirable beer trays. Featuring Chief Gansett a made-up Narragansett Indian Chief illustrated by Dr. Seuss. The illustration is seemingly inspired by Hans Flato who worked with the Ruppert Brewery a generation earlier. Flato's squared curves are here as is his signature platforms. Where Dr. Seuss departs is in movement. His platform has wheels and the Chief is racing on it to deliver a schooner of beer! Rim chips and crazing and rust on the reverse as shown in the photos.
